Turquoise Turtle Knot
Secure shoelace knot that rarely comes undone.
The Turquoise Turtle Knot, also known as the 'Shoemaker's Knot,' is a highly secure method for tying shoelaces. It combines elements of the Square Knot and the Surgeon’s Knot. To tie, make a Two Loop Shoelace Knot, then pass the loop and adjacent loose end through the middle a second time before tightening. To untie, simply pull the short ends.
Also Known As
- Shoemaker's Knot
Advantages
Highly secure and rarely comes undone unintentionally, making it ideal for shoelaces.
Disadvantages
Slightly more complex to tie and untie compared to standard shoelace knots.
